Second Annual Float For Life Event

Come join Captain Bubby at the Second Annual Float For Life Event

Sunday, July 12, 2015 – Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina

Float for Life is Southwest Florida’s only event promoting the environmental, economic, psychological and physical benefits of keeping our waters clean. This year, numerous service organizations, local businesses and community members will unite on Fort Myers Beach, Florida, in an attempt to create a record for the largest Ocean Float.  The primary goal of this event is to allow participants to feel intimately connected to the water, the environment, and ultimately, themselves. We are also excited to welcome our guest speaker, globally recognized advocate on water issues, Alexandra Cousteau.

What is an Ocean Float? At the Float for Life Event, participants will partake in an abbreviated Ocean Float Experience. Masses will join in the water, in groups of three. Individuals in the groups will take turns floating while the other two team members assist by supporting them gently. They will alternate through the three group members, taking turns floating for 10 minutes each. This will allow participants to feel intimately connected to the water, the environment and ultimately to themselves. We believe the positive floating connection to the water will inspire individual calls to action protecting our oceans.

Who can Float? For this event you must be 10 years of age or older.

What is the cost of the event? The event fee is $20. Please pre-register on line prior to the event
