Frequently Asked Questions about our IsLAND Tours

Q: Who can take your tours?

A: We try our best to accommodate people of all ages and abilities.  However, if a car seat, wheelchair, cane or walker is needed, you must provide it. Feel free to contact us if you need a referral for any of these items. All tours are given in English; however, with advanced notice we can accommodate non-English speaking guests.

Q: Do I have to make reservations in advance?

A: Yes. Since we deliver a personalized tour service, advanced reservations allow us time to craft the perfect tour for you.

Q: When should I book my tour?

A: Tours can be booked up to a year in advance. To ensure you are able to get the time slot you would like, we recommend booking your tour as soon as possible.

Q: I don’t want to travel in a group. Can I have a private tour?

A: Yes, no problem! We are here to serve you in any way that will make your experience the best.

Q: Can I create my own itinerary?

A: Yes, as a concierge tour service we are your travel assistant and will work with you to create the tour you want

Q: Do you offer any services beyond land tour guide?

A: Yes. We are available to provide guide service aboard any watercraft and within any commercial type vehicle.

Q: Will I receive a booking confirmation?

A: Yes, you will receive a phone call or email no later than 48 hours after submitting your request confirming your tour

Q: Can I make changes to a booked tour?

A: You can custom design your tour, therefore, changes are possible, whether you want to add an additional person, or a topic, or activity you would like to discover more about.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Due to the nature of our tours cancellations received within 72 hours of departure time are nonrefundable, but can be transferred to another guest. An administrative fee will be collected on all cancelled tours equal to 10% of the value of the tour booked.

Q: Will I receive a “reminder” about our tour?

A: Yes, you receive an email or phone call no later than 24 hours before your tour

Q: Where do we meet for our tour?

A: We give our guests concierge service, meaning Captain Bubby can pick you up where you are staying, while you are out grabbing a bite to eat, or even while you are visiting the beach! Wherever you are, Captain Bubby will meet you.

Q: How will we recognize you?

A: Look for us in a white van with Captain Bubby’s logo on the side.

Q: What will I need for the tour?

A: Each tour is designed around your interests. We suggest wearing comfortable and casual clothing, keeping in mind the day’s weather and planned activities. The 8-passenger van is air-conditioned, and we will provide a cooler with nonalcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring a change of clothes, beach bags, camera, binoculars, and don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses to protect yourself from the intense Florida sun!

Q: What is included in the pricing?

A: Tour prices include any and all transportation costs, tolls, parking, admission fees, taxes, and gratuities to third party providers. In addition, if your tour includes a meal option the costs do not include the purchase of alcohol and/or other items ordered “off the menu.” Gratuities to your personal guide(s) however are not included.

Q: How can I pay for the tour?

A: We are able to accept cash and/or major credit cards, paypal, and gift certificates.

Q: Is smoking allowed on the tour?

A: We are unable to accommodate smoking or alcohol consumption while the vehicle is moving
